The Kidzone kids bumper car comes in a large box as it comes fully assembled. Our ordered arrived safe even thought the box had some small damage on the outside.
Getting started is pretty easy. Once you take it out of the box you have to remove the screws on the seating area and connect the battery cable.
After you have placed your cart for 18 hours, you will need to connect or sync the remote control. It can be used without the remote, but the remote control option was one of my favorite features.
To pair the kidzone bumper car with the remote, just insert the batteries in the remote, hold down the “M” button on the remote, then place near the car and turn the car on. You will notice that the lights on the remote stop flashing. Your remote is now paired. You can control the Kidzone car with or without a rider using the remote.
Review of the Kidzone Ride on Bumper Car with Remote Control
Overall I thought this was a pretty ride on car for our kids and happy with the purchase. I really liked the remote control feature. I don’t think this is a very durable product, as it seems very simple. I would definitely not have our kids ride this car through water or dusty area. I tried driving the car unoccupied through the grass; it’s didn’t work at all.
The underneath section, where the tire come out through the plastic cover has a wide opening which could allow for water, dust or other foreign objects to enter and possible cause damage.
Operating the Kidzone bumper cart
There are two ways to operate the Kidzone bumper car; remotely or with the paddle controls.
You can allow your kid to control the bumper car using the two paddle controls on either side; Both forward will go straight forward, both back and the cart will go straight in reverse. If the kids only push one then the car will turn in that direction.
You can also opt to use the remote to ride your child around. Using the remote overrides the manual controls.
Construction and Durability
I have not had our Kidzone Electric Ride On Bumper Car with Remote Control for that long to really be able to comment on the durability of the unit. We have had it for about 2 months and recharged the batteries about 5 times each. So far so good.
I have read several other reviews on these kidzone bumper cars and most of the negative reviews seem to comment on the batteries not lasting, or diminishing charge over time. This could have been caused by not properly charging the batteries or allowing them to be charging for too long and damaging them.
I’m also a bit concerned about the manual paddle controls. My kids seem to beat those things up, but they have held up so far.
The tires seem to be rather cheapish, again they have held up fairly well. So far we have ridden the cars inside the house on tile floors, outside on concrete and on the road. Nothing too harsh that would cause damage. I think if we were to ride over small rocks or pebbles, they might damage them.

I have had one of these things for over a year now, yes the battery does seem to be one of the weaker components of this toddler bumper car. But, my kids love it. At first they were a little scared of it, the warmed up to it. Now they like to ride it around and also want the control all the time to driver it around like a remote control car. Cool thing is that I can driver them around for a walk at the park or the sidewalk.
At first I did not think this cart would last, but it’s been surprising.
One of the benefits is that my kid learned how to maneuver it, and drive it around with the forward and backwards paddles.
Over all, I think it was money well spent and my kids love it. I do wish the bettery was better.
